Seven years have passed since the release of the third edition. The rapidly expanding knowledge in the diagnosis and evidence-based treatment of cerebral palsy (CP)—a condition resulting from fetal and early infant brain damage, characterized by lifelong disabilities with diverse clinical presentations—has encouraged a comprehensive update to the previous edition. This new edition is enriched by the addition of chapters on antenatal factors, genetics, ultrasound, comorbidities, and long-term prognosis.
